Actress Kirstie Alley Dead at 71

There's lots of speculation that she may have delayed or resisted treatment because she was a long-time Scientologist, and the church/cult of Scientology promises that once you get to a high enough level in the organization, you will be immune to cancer.

makes me wonder how many Scientologist have died from deaths that were preventable over their strange religious/cult beliefs.

Look Who's Talking was a great film (the others, not so much), and Cheers kept going because of Kirstie Alley. I was shocked to hear of her death yesterday. May she RIP. Condolences to family, friends, and her Cheers/Veronica's Closet colleagues.

Surprised she never appeared on Frasier. Ted Danson guest-starred in 1995.

It was. I don't remember much about the others.

I thought it was better without Diane.

Today at the grocery store there was a photo of the cast on a cover of a special 30th anniversary edition of Life magazine. It was from the Diane era, though. I was amazed at how young everyone looked. Woody Harrelson usually plays these mean or tough guys now and it's hard to believe he was this innocent-looking kid.

Yeah, and I remember they corrected an error. I think Frasier had told Sam his father was dead.
