Aerial traffic reports: who owns their aircraft and who rents it?

On Friday afternoons this summer, WDEL-1150 Wilmington has been renting a helicopter to do Delaware beach-bound traffic reports (today is Labor Day Friday and will probably be the last day to do this).

That got me thinking... do other stations relying on aerial traffic reports own their own aircraft, or do they rent such contraptions? Does WCBS-AM own News Chopper 880 or does the Eye rent it? TV stations' aircraft arrangements can be vouched for on this thread too.
