Just wondering if anyone noticed the on-air sound of Saturday night's UC-Austin Peay football game aired on WEBN?
It sounded as though the levels of the feed from Nippert Stadium as well as the halftime and post-game news reports were somewhat lower than the recorded commercials. I wonder if this was because the Nippert feed and news reports were being patched over from the WLW side?
Having the game on FM gave it an overall nice air quality at least in the immediate Cincinnati area. I'm not sure how far WEBN's signal goes for those farther from the city who may have wanted to hear the game. As WLW and its 50,000 watts was not availabe (because of carrying the Reds), you'd think putting the game on WCKY particularly with its night-time signal would be a consideration. That has been done before - but some seasons back.
