In 1998, WHB Kansas City was a simulcast of KMZU Carrollton, MO. At this time WHB had swapped frequencies with KCMO, moving from 710 to 810 kHz. Living in St. Louis, the 810 frequency has reasonable coverage in eastern Missouri especially before sunset, just prior to their pattern change.
In the fall of 1998 I was in the Kansas City area and rolled tape on WHB/KMZU. Here is 90 minutes of one of the recordings I made from WHB from 28 September 1998, divided into three segments. The files are 192/44.1 and can be found at these links:
