From Allaccess - CBS RADIO Alternative WPBZ (103.1 THE BUZZ)/WEST PALM BEACH MD/afternooner NIK RIVERS exits MARCH 29 to join ALBANY BROADCASTING/ALBANY, NY as Asst. OM for the cluster -- Top 40/Rhythmic WAJZ (JAMZ 96.3), Top 40/Mainstream WFLY (FLY 92.3), MOR WKLI, AC WYJB (B95.5) and Active Rock WZMR (104.9 THE EDGE) -- and APD/afternooner for WZMR.

RIVERS starts in ALBANY on APRIL 2.

Any ideas about this new guy at the Edge? Does this mean the Edge is gonna make a push as a serious player in the Rock Market?
 
They probably need to do something. The recent trends would suggest that they aren't really taking off, although they certainly sound decent. Now that there is one less Rock station in the market, with the Bone
finding jesus, it is probably a good time to get a little more agressive.
 
I worked with Nik for a couple of years on Cape Cod before he went to WPB - he's a damn good air-talent and will be a huge asset to The Edge. He knows the ropes and will make an immediate impact, IMHO.
 
Couldn't agree more with Boston Randy. Nik is an asset to whoever is lucky enough to get hi..YAY for everyone!

Albany Broadcasting operations assistant and active rock WZMR (104.9 the Edge)/Albany APD/afternoon host Nik Rivers has been promoted to PD of the station after just eight weeks on the job. He joined the Edge from the APD/MD/afternoon host seat at CBS Radio alternative WPBZ/West Palm Beach. from RandR

Afternooner Don Chopps, and Night guy Pi are gone from the edge Website. Wonder what's up?
