ALEX TREBEK ON CRUTCHES AFTER CHASING SAN FANCISCO HOTEL BURGLAR

In the 28th season premiere he mentioned his eventful summer and made a brief reference to that San Francisco incident, thanking people for their concern. He did have to stay at the podium for his conversations with contestants instead of walking over to them.
 
The season premiere was Sept. 19.

I noticed last night that when Johnny Gilbert introduces him,
Trebek takes perhaps three or four steps to his podium, and
I noticed what appeared to be a cast on his right foot. He's
still staying behind the podium during the conversations with
the contestants and also when he reveals the Final Jeopardy!
clue.
 
I watched the 29 September edition. I missed the beginning, but at the end when Trebek is talking with the contestants, I noticed that he was standing weirdly. I could see a cast/walking boot on his right foot.

Oops missed this before. My buzzer didn't work.
Yep, the dude and his driver got rolled by another friend who they told the details to.
The other friend was arrested for some other things, and he said "Would you like to hear what I know, Mr. Policeman" or something to that effect.
I didn't get what they stole, because they threw it in a dumpster near their house. I would still like to punch them in the face with justice for that.
 
Update: he said last week he was healed enough to walk over to the contestants when he talked to them after the first commercial break.
