As I understand it, Jeff Roper was only at WGTR in Myrtle Beach for about 2 weeks, when he was hired by WTQR. I don't know much about the guy, but I wish him all the best! WTQR has not been the same same Big Paul was there. RIP...Paul.

Jeff Roper is no longer on the The Gator in MB after 2 1/2 weeks ... he hit the road to WTQR ..... gee, he is a loyal guy ... I think I'll call him up and see if he wants to work for me. Not !

Actually, the same thing happened to me. I had a job offer in a huge market but had just taken a job in a small (and I do mean small) market. I discussed this offer with my current employer. I forwarded him the offer they sent me in an email and let him know I wasn't looking for more money, just simply showing my dedication to the company. It paid off. I was promoted to OM from Afternoons and PD a year later, given a healthy raise and a company expense account. Now I am looking at buying my first radio station with the help of the company I stood by all these years.

Yes there is....But the other 99 times out of 100 is the loyal worker that gets thrown on his ass for a budget cut, format flip, or what have you. After being screwed over a couple times, I'm probably gonna be gettin what I can.
