All News 106.7 is Here…Finally [last song, audio, first impressions]

Good Morning! God this is early. At 3:43, the Rolling Stones' "Miss You" was played. I thought Inwas going to record this…but I decided not to, because Lance will likely record it on FormatChange. But, boy what a morning it is going to be. 1 hour and 15 minutes. Buckle your seatbelts. All News 106.7 is here!!!!

It is the final hour ever of Atlanta's Greatest Hits. I think I might cry (no, not really!!).

It begins with "Ride Captain Ride" by Blues Image and "Wonderful Tonight" by Eric Clapton.

Next songs are "Sunshine" by Jonathan Edwards (my personal favorite) and "867-5309 (Jenny)" by Jimmy Tuntone (the complete opposite). 45 minutes to go.

They must know I am listening. CCR's "Have You Ever Seen The Rain" is now playing. CCR is one of the reasons why we need an oldies station in the ATL. CBS! CBS!

Now a Journey commercial and Bob Segar's "Old Time Rock and Roll". Bob is right, "Today's Music Aint Got The Same Soul". No it certainly doesn't. Next song is The Monkee's "I'm a believer". Believe what?

Next is the "Blimp Crash Promo" (that's what I call it) and the next song is… Carol King's "I fee The Earth Move", which is one of the worst songs that they play.

30 more minutes…I love you WYAY!!!!!

Stevie Wonder's "Isn't She Lovely" is up in the next set of songs. I think they might have just ppicked these songs out for a reason. Then again, it is Cumulus.

Hey, it's Huey Lewis & the News, "If This is It"..... this is so fun. (and predictable)

Now it's Stevie Wonder's "Isn't She Lovely". Probably the last motown song they play. I'm keeping a list of the last hour.

SKYNRD's "Sweet Home Alabama" is up next. It has nothing to do with News, oldies, saying goodbye, or Georgia.

With 20 minutes left, it's Queen's "Another One Bites The Dust"..... this is getting interesting.

With 16 minutes left, it's "Last Dance" by Donna Summer..... We predicted that one. Is it too soon, though?

They just cut off Sweet Home Alabama and went into Queen's "Another One Bites The Dust". I guess this is it

Now nothing but silence

"I read the news today, oh boy. About a lucky man who made the grade. Although the news was rather sad, well I just had to laugh......" Beatles. This is great. 12 minutes, people. RIP AGH!

Woke up, Got outta bed, dragged a comb across my hair......

This is the last song prior to the flip ! Its on the way, and no.. ITS NOT a JOKE ! AGH is about to be ashes to ashes and Dust to Dust ! Adios my old friend.. We will miss the music on 106.7.

The clock is ticking, I said this would happen.

New York.....NewYork....... (God, this is WCBS.) Now a beep. I will post this all later. "Stop What You're Doing And Listen."

I am listening to this on itunes. I hear everything you are hearing and hopong that Itunes will mive the stream to news/talk like most of the all news stations that CBS has around the country

Dirty Laundry........... they read this board. Best flip in ATL history. "Here's Johnny.....I read the news today."

"Good Morning Vietnam"

U2, Stock Market, Heart Beating, "It's Moving, He's Alive, It's Alive" Flatline at Hospital, Wilderness, sounds like woods or something in a cage. Baby crying, chimes playing, Tuning Radio.
New York, LA, Chicago, San Francisco, Dallas-Ft Worth, DC, Philly, Boston, They have 24/7 AllNews..... Now ATL joins that list. All News 106.7

Fox 5 Weather. Fast Paced. No Documentary. Come on "inside source".

Connie Cummings is of course the screw up.. Shes been around forever, and while she is reading her opening headline she is under echo.. WOW.. Oh well.. Its a new format flip ! Sounded good for sure !

Sounded Excellent! Looks like there are several anchors, reporters, and editors in the Int. North studio.

WYAY is using Fox 5 for weather and interviews from the news. There is supposed to be a "news center". Connie Cummings was there. My first prediction of morning anchors - Andy Rose and Michelle Wright are the morning news anchors. Pretty fast paced, and not boring like WSB.
