Fox Sports Reaches Sub-License Agreement For BCS With ESPN Radio

FOX SPORTS has reached an exclusive 4-year sub-license agreement with ESPN RADIO for the terrestrial broadcast rights to all BOWL CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES (BCS) games televised on FOX. Financial terms were not disclosed.

"We are very pleased to have reached this agreement with ESPN RADIO, which has a long tradition of carrying the BCS," said FOX SPORTS COO LARRY JONES. "We took these rights to the market and ESPN RADIO made what was by far the strongest presentation of any group that we spoke to." ...

I saw that. Goes to show how much confidence Fox Sports has in their own sports radio network. They took and put the BCS up for the highest bidder, instead of doing the games themselves. Granted, Fox Sports doesnt own FSR per se, but still would figure they would've made a deal with Premier just like they did with FSR.

There's no "per se" about it, Fox Sports has no ownership whatsoever in FSR, legal or assumed. The relationship between Fox and Premiere is that Premiere is sending Fox a check to use the name "Fox Sports." They're not paying for any kind of relationship beyond the name, and of course FSR reeks of a lack of such legitimacy.
