Disney’s ABC Stations Could Be Bought By Nexstar With “Little Friction” If They Are Sold Off, Company Advisor Tom Carter Says; Hails “Progress” In Lengthy DirecTV Carriage Dispute

If either one actually gets ABC and KABC-TV it would spark another affiliation shuffle in some parts of the country. If Nexstar and its related company Mission Broadcasting gets ABC and its O&O's then Nexstar would make KTLA, KRON, WPIX, WGN, KIAH, WNCN, WPHL merge their news operations with KABC, KGO, WABC, WLS, KTRK, WTVD and WPVI. For Fresno specifically KFSN would go to a party not related to Mission or Nexstar given that Nexstar owns KGPE and KSEE.
In other parts of the country it would lead to Nexstar and Mission owned stations changing affiliations to either CW or ABC if the deal is approved.
If Allen Media gets ABC and ABC owned stations then it would make Allen Media owned ABC stations like KEZI, WJRT, KITV become ABC owned stations.
