Allen Sniffen says Al Bernstein terminated at WLTW

No kidding...what is the axe that Disneyfanatic has to grind with Ms. Smaldone? She happens to be a great jock.

Why do I suppose to be, a Clear Channel joker! Ha-ha-ha! :D

I wish that Valerie will be the only one remaining for "Lite", but I don't see Valerie letting her go anytime soon. I guess WLTW messed around with music that doesn't fit the category maybe some 60's songs might come back. Look what happened in the Hudson Valley, WRNQ's "Lite-FM" on 92.1 in Poughkeepsie and WCTW's "Lite-FM" on 98.5 in Catskill plays less 60's songs, but yesterday, WCTW's "Lite-FM" played "You Can't Hurry Love" by Diana Ross & the Supremes was a great song for the station during the Bill Williams show, I heard it on the van since I was on my way home from work. Both WRNQ and WCTW's versions of "Lite" in the Hudson Valley played a few 60's songs in its rotation like Aretha Franklin's "You Make Me Feel Like a Natural Woman", "My Girl" by the Temptations, "Down On the Corner" by CCR and other 60's songs that are on any Hudson Valley's version of "Lite-FM" on both 92.1 and 98.5, but in New York's version of "Lite" at 106.7, they don't play 60's songs on that anymore, give it to CBS-FM and have a shot at it.

WLTW is cutting off the edges for playing songs that are too hot for an AC station, sadly, they don't play 60's song like that anymore, Hudson Valley's version of "Lite" plays less 60's songs. Imagine back in April where WLTW dropped the "Lite-FM" from its name and calling it "New York's 106.7 FM". That didn't last long, but now they brought back the "Lite-FM" moniker about 2 months ago. But in the Hudson Valley's version, they just used slogans as one of the "Lite-FM" jocks in the Hudson Valley would say after the song was over by saying "Columbia & Greene County's One and Only Lite Music Station" or "Columbia & Greene County's Best Variety of Yesterday and Today" or "Continuous Light Rock Favorites" or any slogan in the Hudson Valley would say that?

I remember many years ago, WLTW's "Lite-FM" had slogans like "New York's One and Only Lite Music Station" or some sorts, but now they will be cutting the edges too far. Too much 70's, 80's, 90's and current songs that are part of the format, but no 60's songs on that station. Come on!

I guess the 60's, 70's and 80's music will bring a torch to CBS-FM. I guess CBS-FM is doing a lot better than that awful "Jack" format from 2 years ago, and a lot better than WBPM's "Classic Hits 92.9", because WBPM is still playing songs that are too extreme for this format since the station flipped from oldies "Cool 92.9" back in early February. WBPM stinks for playing the songs that CBS-FM was critical of playing "Radar Love" by Golden Earring and the rest of the songs that are too extreme.

If you want to bring CBS-FM's numbers, so do it! I guess WLTW's "Lite-FM" was usually #1 for years, but now it's no longer #1 on the station's ratings because of Steven E. Roy, Bill Buckner, JJ Kennedy and now Al Bernstein are all gone completely from the jokers of Clear Channel and WLTW.

Kudos to these four people from the "Lite-FM" crew and the rest of the Clear Channel jokers for making the station a success. Valerie Smaldone will not be leaving the station, not anytime soon. If Valerie leaves the station, I will be very upset. Just leave her alone for now.

That's what I thought. And when I say she should be looking over her shoudler, I'm not insinuating her dismissal is impending, either - but it's just like, to paraphrase an overused gag, rearranging the liner cards on the Titanic...

Huh? In the October "book" WLTW is #1 in the NY market, 12+, and #2 25-54 right behind Z-100.
