Cumulus

Hard to say. I understand a Susquehanna guy will be sort of overseeing the Susquehanna stations brought on board @ Cumulus.

Cumulus is general not considered to be among the sharpets operators around. Guess we have to give them a fair chance but that would require a pretty big turnaround from the way they've operated previously.

Re: Gold

Very true- it was no more than an on-the-cheap way to make the company look a bit more attractive (oldies vs. dog alternative station) for the sale AND to stop the bleeding caused by the Zone's lack of revenue success.

I know many saw this move as "they're bringing Oldies back to Chicago!" and rejoiced, but had that been the case they'd have done more than just putting the ABC-owned Shannon satellite version on.
