Almost Two Hours Of Columbus Crew Soccer Music Coming Up On "Secrets"

In honor of the team's participation in the MLS Championship Game to be played this Sunday, "Yesterday's Top Secrets" will be airing on November 20 and 21 many songs that are soccer-related (er, that is, if you stretch the meaning of those two hyphenated words far enough). Selections from bands such as Cream, the Zombies, Sly and the Family Stone, the Hollies, and the Supremes will be seamlessly intertwined with similarly-focused tunes offered up by Blurt, Killing Joke, the Fall, Siouxsie and the Banshees, and Rema-Rema. The only non-soccer music will come from our two Featured Artists for the week, the Rolling Stones and the Ramones, who have successfully managed to hold on to that special designation since November 6. (Being a featured artist means that two of your songs are played each night instead of just one.) Warning: these special broadcasts come with a PG-13 rating, as some material may not be suitable for pre-teenagers. There's a certain aspect of soccer that Siouxsie enjoys a little too much while she's singing. Second warning: I've been a bit under the weather this week, but that won't be any big deal -- the incredible nature of all of the music will more than make up for it.

"Yesterday's Top Secrets" can now be heard four nights a week on WCRS (102.1/98.3 FM) at 8:00. On Thursdays and Fridays new shows are debuted, and on Mondays and Tuesdays previously-aired episodes are repeated. Other special occasions/people that have been celebrated on past shows include last month's running of the Columbus Marathon, the election of Barack Obama, and the continued legacy of James Bond.
