I think kudos due to both BillW & AndyS ... each good operators who, if anyone can, COULD make things work in difficult challenging economic times as well as geographical ones. Bill not as affected by the major market proximity as Andy ... but each can teach us a bunch about smaller market success and how to think of solutions that are outside the scope of what is crammed down most chain operations from places like tiny Texas towns that tend to lose Texas/Mexican historic war battles.
It would seem that smaller market MAY be the ripest for protecting the fort ... larger market strategies not doing a ton to differentiate themselves from listening alternatives; and even if they DO have creative ideas ... more often than not are stifled by the consultants, VeePee of this-or-that, or CFO's freaking out about whether shareholders are gonna be pissed that they upped the spin ratio on a Lady Gaga tune.
Good luck with WHATEVER you choose to do with 1520! I'm sure the outcome will be a learning experience (in a good way) for all of us ... ownership of that signal included!
