AM BC DX With A Panasonic RF-2200 vs. Potomac FIM-41 Field Strength Meter

Have any DXers here tried seeing how a barefoot Panasonic RF-2200 compares to a Potomac FIM-41 Field Strength Meter as an AM BC DX radio? If you look online (eBay usually), refurbished RF-2200s on eBay are getting as expensive as a "working", officially not recently calibrated, Potomac FIM-41 (or FIM-21 but it doesn't have 1610-1700 kHz) meters. I have had a few FI meters that I have borrowed, and the FI meter performance on AM BC DX is a little better. I think the RF-2200 sensitvity is quoted to be 16 uV/m vs. 10 uV/m for the FI meters. The other reason for the FI meter would be to settle disputes about M-3 predicted vs. real world FI, at least roughly. Surprisingly, this happens a to me a lot. Any thoughts? I don't drive fancy cars, and I haven't gotten myself any nice gifts in years. Though after nearly getting stuck in sand and snow a few times, and my wife being a "Passenger Seat Driver", maybe I should buy a 4 wheel drive with driver education dual controls instead. 🤣

A lot of vintage DX MW portables are going for high prices. I looked up Sony SRF-59's, a headset radio I got for about $25-30 in 2011 or 2012. Now they're $150, NOS. My Sony ICF-38 was $30 new. Now they go for a couple hundred. As soon as Sony discontinued the already pricy EX5MK2 ($150+ new) prices skyrocketed to hundreds of dollars. As soon as a decent product is discontinued, the value skyrockets. I think Superadios are still reasonable because there were so many of them, but I haven't priced them lately.
