AMAZING WOMEN AND THE GLORY OF ABORTION. What a Disgrace.

I listened in HORROR this morning to Amazing Women. Guest was Mary Ann Sorrentino.
First, let me say, I am a Lesbian, this is not about Deb Riggerios preference. However It's about me being ALIVE. My parents BOTH told me ,I was almost aborted. It was a struggle for them. They heard the Planned Parenthood propaganda. In the end, they decided I was a LIFE. IMAGINE. Today Mary Ann Sorrentino said I was a CHOICE. She's selling her abortion book. On SUNDAY, We WPRO listeners hear 2 women talking about every possible way Abortion is wonderful. I am ALIVE. A HUMAN BEING. Not a FETUS. To me WPRO has a show on that glorifies murder. It was the most distasteful show I've EVER heard on WPRO. I will call WPRO on MONDAY to tell them Debby Riggeros Amazing Women needs to be canned. And that it's far from amazing.
 
I listen to B 101 until 9 am. on Sunday, then back to Pro. I'm glad I didn't hear it.
 
I think the smart thing to do is call Barbra Haynes. Mrs Haynes is the person
who allows the worst radio show on WPRO to go on and on. 433 4200 . Ask for
the General Manager. Walter

And people are in shock as to why these shows are rarely, if ever, successful. I'm glad I didn't hear this show - I'm in complete agreement with you.
 
A letter to the station with the insistence that it be put in the public inspection file would be an appropriate action. And they wonder why the fairness doctrine is being raised from the dead.
 
Yep! And Haynes put WPRO in a box. Say they kick 'Amazing Women' off the air.
I know Deb R. The first thing she'll do is RUN to her friends in the press
and SCREAM she was discriminated against. Nice job BaBs.

I read your post and am very moved.
I think Mary Ann and Deb are so involved in their respective
activisms, they forget the human cost. Thank goodness your
parents let you live. :) Hard program for Sunday mornings.

I happen to believe WPRO is a round hole and Amazing Women is a square peg
Just don't fit. Sometimes when people switch stations, they don't switch back. Walter.
 
Oh ok it doesn't fit I didn't realize that all the weekend shows were supposed to be a perfect fit. Wow that explains everything. I wonder when they are are going to move it to a better time slot so more people can embrace in the glory of Amazing Women.

You know, Donna Mac came up with Vital Women on the Coast before Amazing Women. It was a total slam that they put it on the air right after Donna's show started. Her program is not only well produced and topic driven, but the whole idea behind it is to be uplifting and inspiring. She's on more than one station, too.

I don't listen to Amazing Women, but Donna's show is worth a listen.
 
WPRO ripped off Amazing Women? Big suprise. This is also the same station that ripped off Jay Leno's Jaywalking and renamed it "Walking the floor". Not a bunch of creative heads on the trail. I wish I could collect a paycheck for just stealing ideas. That's a pretty good gig.

Funny...because I think Donna grabbed the idea for her show from "The View" and Jay Leno took Jaywalking from Howard Stern......You've been in broadcasting long enough to know there have been 2 original thoughts in radio.....it isn't germain to just the trail

You are soooo right. I'm well aware that it is the nature of the business to steal ideas from each other. It's done each and every day. I just wish people could be more creative and come up with more things on their own.
