American Top 40 is heard on great radio stations like..

Ah yes WCIT "Great 94." Remember the dual ITC triple decks on either side of the custom built console on top of the two Russco turntables. The control room was a crackerbox but its audio processing almost rivalled that of CKLW at the time. Since it was a stereo console,it was also used by sister WLSR to air local high school sports in the evening after 'CIT signed off for the night.

Remember Bill Appel,Steve Nelson and Gordy Price on the air before it automated one year later?
Supposedly, the entire airstaff except for Appel resigned which prompted the switch to automation. Wonder if 'ol man Riggs didn't pay them on time?
