Another AM is gone. This time is it is KTHO-AM at South Lake Tahoe, CA on 590.

Glad I DXed this station years ago before they went belly-up. I barely heard them on a couple of occasions, running the 500 watt night power. Too bad, interesting format, but probably couldn't compete with the *many* other Reno stations.
 
Ironically, there are three non-comm broadcasters who applied for the one remaining frequency there in the recent filing window.

Reno AMs, apart from 780, generally don’t throw that solid a signal into South Lake Tahoe, which is in a basin 2,000 feet above and 60 miles from Reno.
