Thought the Es season was long-over. Not so fast, with Es in a direction I have never heard before and everything is NEW! There isn't a lot of Es to hear towards the *northwest* from Idaho, but indeed I had far north BC and Alberta tonight. MUF 106.1. Super-spotty given the remoteness of this area, but there was some low-power stuff mixed in.
Es first noted at 7:47PM MT tonight. MUF up to 97.5, with a strong country station on 88.9, several CBC stations and then finally some IDs:
7:49PM MT - 96.3 CJGY Grande Prairie, AB; with Thru the Bible, then Adventures in Odyssey at 8 MT, RDS "Reach FM" in radiotext. NEW #416, 70KW at 749 miles.
7:51PM - 92.1 CKYL-FM-2 High Prairie, AB; with River Country ID and into '9 to 5' by Dolly Parton. This used to be YL Country, 610 AM in Peace River. I heard them from both western and eastern WA before they converted to FM. NEW #417, 1.6KW at 769 miles.
7:54PM - 97.7 CFGP Grande Prairie, AB; with rock music and positive RDS PI match. NEW #418, 100KW at 766 miles.
7:55PM - 88.9 CKYL-FM-5 Saddle Hills, AB; River Country again, with RDS and // 92.1. NEW #419, 2.5KW at 767 miles.
7:55PM - 88.5 CKYL-FM-3 Fairview, AB; same country music as 88.9 and 92.1. NEW #420, 820 watts at 805 miles.
*Had a 93.5 at the same time with Carrie Underwood and a (something) "Country" ID...thought it was Pure Country (like CJDC-890). I think it might have been CKVH, but I will check.

8:04PM - 98.1 CBXJ Jasper, AB; must be this one with CBC News, weather report which faded down, and back up with "That's CBC Radio weather". Low-power and short skip! NEW #422, 259 watts at 585 miles! This is a short-Es record for me from Cascade. I have done under 500 miles from WA (KPJP-89.3 Greenville CA, 468 mi to Ellensburg WA 7/14/21).

8:17PM - 93.7 CBUF-FM-7 Dawson Creek, BC; path change slightly, with French talk and banter, only possible match in skip path. First British Columbia station on Es. NEW #423, 820 watts at 799 miles. (Recently upgraded from 70 watts).
8:21PM - 94.3 CIRX Prince George, BC; very weak Canadian PSA and ID "94.3 the Goat." NEW #424, 11KW at 714 miles.
8:32PM - 89.7 CBKQ-FM Dawson Creek, BC; tracked this station for a good 15 minutes or more. As It Happens with a segment on Bob Dylan. Then ID mentioning Fort St. John. NEW #425, 816 watts at 798 miles.
Noted a 95.1 with current hits that may have been Dawson Creek as well. There was also a very weak 92.5 with a religious drama, the only possibility is a CIAM-FM rebroadcaster in Charlie Lake BC, near Fort St. John.
Audio is coming later (I work 50+ hours a week now, rarely have extra time), but I have RDS pictures attached. Every minute was a thrill. This is an area of the world that we rarely get to hear on E-skip.
I sure wish it would have extended into the Northwest Territories! The 97.7 picture is Grande Prairie BTW.
