Any CBS affiliates outside of Phoenix carrying all 63 NCAA Tournament games?

KPHO-TV Phoenix is carrying all the games (up to 4 at once) on their digital channels as well as on digital cable for no extra charge. HD is not required.

Any other CBS affiliates doing this?

A hoop lovers dream come true. I wish ours did that. But they are owned by Sinclair so their HD channel is not even on the cable system for those with HD sets since Mediacom refuses to pay for the HD signal. Our Raycom owned NBC station is the only one that has it's digital subchannels (NBC Weather Plus and The Tube) on digital cable.

Games are available online if not able to get them locally

All the games are being streamed via CBS Sportsline, but the quality won't be as good. But at least it's free this year (it was $20 last year).

I don't know if DirecTV or Dish Network are carrying all CBS game feeds since I don't have either.

WISH-TV Indianapolis traditionally carries 4 games at a time with its DTV signals. I can't find anything on their website that says they are this year though.

Re: Games are available online if not able to get them locally

DirecTV has the DBS exclusive on the out-of-market games, as they have for the last few years.

Meanwhiile, in reply to the previous question: KIRO-TV Seattle will not have the full 63-game package, but on the first two days they will be carrying around 20 games spread between their analog channel and their two digital channels.

WDJT-DT in Milwaukee will be carrying all the games.

It seems strange that DirecTV still charges for this, when cable offers it for free in so many places.

And the games will only be available as long as the streams hold up. CBS said they don't know how long that might be.

The Phoenix station (KPHO) has three digital channels. 5.1 IS the main analog channel. How do they carry four games at once?

(edited) I just looked at their schedule on their website. They are carrying four games at once. Their analog channel is different from the 5.1 telecast.

Normally, a station would duplicate their analog programming on the first digital channel with alternative programming on the other digital channels.

In my view they shouldn't separate the analog and digital (5 and 5.1) because when they lose the analog signal they can no longer offer four games unless they put up a fourth digital signal (as KPPX does).

(end edited material)

Just wondering.<P ID="signature">______________
