Any Independent Radio Companies in GA?

Does anyone know of an independent radio company in GA? I'm looking for one that is concerned about station content not just popularity. I think a station's popularity will rise as its content is revelent to its genre of music.
 
To answer cowbuy--In GA, I've come to learn that the radio stations are own by COX(for example AM 750) or Radio One(for example FM 103.3,107.5). Recently, 107.5 dropped its smooth jazz format and other stations moved around on the dial[97.5-->102.5(christian) 102.5-->107.5(old school R&B)] There may be more radio companies here in GA but these are the 2 I know off the top of my head. I'm looking for other companies to see(hear) what they offer to mix up the current format in ATL where it seems to me is leaning more towards hip-hop, rap, R&B. Answers anyone or do I need to create my own radio company??
 
Let me give you a starting place. Go to the following website:

Put "atlanta,ga" in the top blank and then enter.

You should get a list of something like 69 radio stations in the Atlanta area. (By finding other places on radio-locator you can find 434 radio stations in Georgia.)

In the second column of the "spreadsheet" of stations you will see a little yellow icon with an "i" in the icon. Click on one of those and you will get a lot of information about the station including ownership name.

If the call letters in the next column of the spreadsheet is underlined, that means the station has a website. Click on the call letters and you will be taken to the website of the station.

If you can muster up a bit a patience, we can help you learn your way around the landscape of the broadcasting world.

Now if you are serious about starting your own station, just pull out your checkbook. A "5" followed by six zeroes, a decimal point and two more zeroes is probably the entry level price. If you want one of the highly rated stations, make sure there is room on your check for "75" followed by six zeroes, a decimal, and a couple of zeros.
