I'm guessing that they probably get Delilah for little money, maybe even no money at all if it's all supported by national advertising barter.

Unfortunately, those economical arrangements for syndicated shows are often much more attractive to stations nowadays than paying live local air talent salaries.

refresh my memory but isn't Delilah already on 2 other south coast stations?

I couldn't stand her on WVBF, I hated her on WSSH (where she bumped Hillary Stevens out of the early night shift to late nights) and I would rather have a vasectomy without local anesthesia than listen to her for one syllable

Delilah was on 93.3 WSNE for quite a few years until a little over a year ago, when they shifted to a hotter Hot AC format. She was also on 106.1 WCOD on the Cape for a short time back around 2000-01 before they flipped from AC to Hot AC.

She's also on WBMW in New London, Connecticut where she also replaced local talent a few years back.

Personally, can't listen to her for more than 10 seconds, and I know I'm not the only one, yet shes popping up on Soft AC stations at an alarming rate ::)

It took a while to track JJ down, seems like we are from the same town... who knew!

"I am well and haven't given up on radio (just shoveling...lol!) I am in the land of sunshine (Fla) where I originally got into radio back in the 80's and spent 12 years here. I am pursuing voice work and putting together an in-home studio. I am for the first time in many years, enjoy some "me time" and quality time with my 3 cats and 2 dogs that endlessly remind me of "why" I continue to rescue abandoned animals of all kinds! Florida, sadly, is saturated with "critters" that need help.....perhaps because it is such a transient State.
Not sure if you know this or not, but I am originally from Wakefield MA....seems we were neighbors at one time! I miss N E, but not the snow or the politics..... lol ! ..feel free to pass this along as well as my regards to everyone and my thanks for "missing my show" !!
J.J. "
