Since I run out and grab a snack while it's on, I don't know much about this particular spot. But in case anyone hasn't noticed, Jack In The Box has been trying to get public feedback on killing off the clown. This isn't the first time they've tried it.
But what is amusing is the timing of this ad campaign. Their agency launched it during the height of the economic crisis, at a time when people were too distracted with "side issues" (you know, like losing your home, your job, your retirement, your self-esteem). As a result, the campaign came and went virtually unnoticed. A total dud.
Imagine the nerve of people being more concerned about their lives then Jack In The Box's image. As they say, timing is everything--and that includes ad campaigns.
