I grew up watching WBZ Television in the 80's and at that time there were several cuts of music used that I like. I tried getting it at the time, but I was always told they did not own the rights to the music, so they could not distribute it. I had always thought it was special music written for WBZ, but these days I am pretty sure they just used a library of Production music for various shows. For example Nancy Merill and Tom Bergeron's talk show "People Are Talking." Also looking for the music they used for "Lottery Live" that Tom Bergeron hosted. I have some rough cuts of these cues that I taped off the TV. But after all these years I would love to finally have the full studio versions of some of this music I grew up with.
Many Production libraries can now be found online. Much of WBZ's News music is available from various sources. Frank gari's "Catch 5" music package and Edd Kalehoff are among some of what is out there. Does anybody have a clue what company WBZ used during the 80's for Production music? That would be a big help to me. Thanks.
