Anyone out there actually LISTENING to All-Christmas on KOIT and KBAY?

I know I am usually the only one when it comes to a lot of things.....

I am just curious.... Are there ANYONE out there actually listening to the All-Christmas on KOIT and KBAY? Or am I the only one (again)?

This year, I find their mix is unlistenable.... Good Christmas music, but they didn't mix them very well. It lacks in variety.

I would rather they keep playing A/C and play several (5 to 6) Christmas music per hour and then have the All-Christmas music special a few nights before Christmas,... That's just my thoughts.

Any comments?

I havent been listening to it when I usally do, the mix is too slow, I hate the new christmas songs

All Christmas All the Time is WAY too much for me! The rest of the year, I check out KOIT from time to time, and listen some, but I basically ignore it when they play all holiday music. I prefer the way KFRC used to do it - just a few Christmas songs per hour added into the regular format.

I prefer the Holiday music on the the radio stations streaming on the
world wide web myself. WLIT in Chicago for example. (www.wlit.com).

Which reminds me...when(if ever) will we see the first CHR station to go All Christmas?

I sampled both stations and found them boring and tuned out. I then looked for my Christmas oldies CD case and have been listening to them. They are some of the oldies.com CDs.

KGO will start its Christams music at 4:00 p.m. but it is all standards with no anouncing. KSFO is more contemproary with its live from Disney World. I heard a couple of Christmas oldies on both 102.9 KBLX and 98.1 KISS. Maybe those stations will run some good Christams music. Anybody know?

How do the ratings fare when they flip to all-Christmas music. I can't stand it. Play it for a week around the holidays, don't start it when elections are still going on...

Honest, I too find it unlistenable so I tuned out from KOIT and KBAY. I've been listening to KDFC now and I think they are very smart by putting an All-Christmas Music format station online. I have been listening to it and find it really enjoyable. I thought it's a smart move by KDFC, best part is... it's commercial-free.

I agree, don't flip to All-Christmas music when election is still going on. A perfect time to flip would be the beginning of December, if (and that's a big IF) they really want to do an All-Christmas format.

Most stations see a significant bump in ratings with all-Xmas. But starting in mid-Nov is ridiculous to. And yet... some people clearly can't get enough. A woman I work with has had it on constantly since the switch. I try to ignore it, but one day recently I realized they had played John & Yoko and Jose Feliciano 3 times each in less than 8 hours. That's insane.
