AoIP: I would love to see some sort of standard...

There's one important difference here - Ethersound, Cobranet and Dante are primarily designed for live audio applications. As such, they only transfer audio channels over IP networks.

Livewire is designed for broadcast applications. So in addition to audio, a Livewire stream will also carry full GPIO and control data along with the stream (as well as a return (mix-mius) feed if required).

While we are on this, is there a piece of computer software that would allow me to feed an uncompressed ip stream to another computer at another location with a low cost?
