Apparently this is legal - at least its in the newspaper

KSHN/Liberty used to run a split speaker broadcast with the Liberty and Dayton HS football games every Friday night. Not sure whether or not this is still the case, but it made for some interesting listening when the radio was balanced in the middle.
 
Couldn't get the link to open last night, now I see that is exactly what the article is based on. Imagine my embarassment. ::)
 
Paging CW!!!!

I've been told it's not legal to air split-channel broadcasts, although I haven't found anything in the FCC rules that addresses the issue. Then again, maybe the FCC doesn't mind if KSHN is doing it. After all, in HS football crazy Texas it's a classic case of programming "in the public interest," right?
 
Well, about two weeks ago, I heard the Stereo Split on KSHN 99.9. I think someone already addressed that this WAS Illegeal in this board a long time ago. (or in the Texas Board)
