ARCHIVED: "At The Tone, the "B" side" (an appreciation of WWV, WWVH, CHU....)

The appreciation webpage of Time and Frequency Radio Stations has been found and archived and ready for viewing! (And I thought it was lost forever!) As the curator of the original webpage, I was totally pleased as punch to see that it still lives. It's giving me the incentive to rebuild it once again! If the interest is there, I will do just that. Please drop me a line at the original e-mail address at....

I'm sure WWV has been heard worldwide, certainly combined with WWVH

what do i hear sometimes underneath their 15000 freq....//??/

Re: ARCHIVED: "At The Tone, the "B" side" (an appreciation of WWV, WWVH, CHU....)

That's an interesting question. I have never heard anything coming in under WWV/WWVH on 15000 kHz.

It's their 10000 kHz channel that seems to have interference underneath at times. I believe it's from Brazil, which has a new time signal on that freq. Along the east coast of the US, in the Caribbean and in much of Central and northern South America, Venezuela's time signal can be heard on 5000 kHz.

Fascinating how WWV and WWVH do a propagation "dance" on their various frequencies over most of the USA. When they synchronize, it is a fascinating thing to hear.
