Are Matt Siegel and Billy Costa the oldest radio broadcasters?

We all know that Matt Siegel has been on Kiss 108 since they first started, and I think Billy Costa has been there a pretty long time as well. But when I say the oldest, I don’t mean how long they’ve been broadcasting, I mean in age. I just looked up their ages and they are both pretty close to 70 years old. As we know, Billy Costa is very much active and it sounds like he doesn’t plan on retiring. He has white hair but I think he still acts pretty young. Has anyone here ever met either of them before?

Hmmm, until very recently WBZ had a couple. How old is Bob Bittner, or the man of mystery David Allan Boucher?

I don’t mean how long they’ve been broadcasting..

I'm sure someone out there has been working in radio longer than Matty, but his morning show may very well be the longest running in the country. And like an earlier poster said, he did middays at WBCN for a few years prior to starting at Kiss 108.

IFIRC Sunny Joe White did mornings when Kiss 108 first went on the air. (Remember, the format was disco and the target was WBOS. Ron Robin the WBOS PD at the time went to Herbert Hoffman and said to compete with Kiss 108 BOS would have to hire club DJ's to spin the music and continue to use professional on air personalities. Hoffman did not buy that idea. ) When Matty moved to Kiss 108, SJW took over the midday shift. I believe the had 3 hour shifts back then.

And just a side note, as the 2 predominating Top 40 stations at the time decided to change formats, Kiss 108 stepped in and tweaked their all disco format to a hybrid Disco/Top 40 format instead.

Which has exactly WHAT to do regarding whether Siegel and Costa are the two oldest in the business around here?
