Are there any CHR's that play lots of music and little/no talk in the morning?

It seems like so many CHR stations have ridiculous morning talk shows. I personally love listening to nothing but music in the morning and don't want to listen to people blabber about stuff that's not important.

Are there any CHR stations that people know of that are music-intensive during the morning "drive time" and don't have a stupid talk show?

A lot of morning shows, especially in PPM markets have gone from the standard 3-4 songs per hour to 6, 7 even 9. That's very intensive for a morning show.

KMXV in Kansas City use to have alot of chatter in the morning with Rocket and Teresa. I havent listen to them since I left years ago. KCHZ has been jockless in the morning for years now since Shorty was cut but now shes back at KCKC doing mornings.

Q102 pre Elvis Durran..

What a horrible radio personality... Clear Channel and it's "premium" morning show weren't better then Booker in the morning, he got dropped when he was the #1 morning show in Philadelphia.

I supposed WRDW plays the most music though, which is a Rhythmetic CHR heavily leaning Pop/Dance. They go commercial free, and the DJ's never talk for more then 10 minutes.

Last time I streamed Pulse 102 in Raleigh, NC they had a jockless, music intensive morning drive. I'm also another one who agrees with the original post. I've always hated "morning radio". It's always been my least favorite daypart. I never understood why stations couldn't do morning shows just like middays/afternoon/evenings, with normal 2 or 3 stopsets and 30-45 min. music sweeps. Who wants to listen to a bunch of blabber and talk in the morning when they don't the rest of the day. Traffic/weather/news briefs are fine, but that celebrity/morning zoo crap is beyond annoying.

Agree. I'm one of the few on here that doesn't complain about there not being much talk on the radio.

I agree with you all, but I bet none of us fits the target demographic that apparently has been tested to appreciate the blabber of Elvis Duran and others.
