Are there any other French-language AM stations on 1550?

This thread has wandered off topic a bit and I am partly to blame for that... nevertheless, that CBC classical program I mentioned-- "That Time of the Night"-- used to originate in St. John, Newfoundland, so I thought that would be of interest. I have totally forgotten the name of the host-- was it a lady by the name of Swan, perhaps? Later on, that was replaced by the equally nice "Northern Lights" which originated in Winnipeg and was hosted by Andrea Ratuski, if memory serves me correctly. I visited the CBC studios when I was there, and also the CBW transmitter site. I have spent many a night with the radio snuggled under the covers listening to the CBC and savoring every moment of it-- including while on camping trips in BC and Alberta. I would go so far as to say that those programs resulted in a lifelong appreciation for Canada and a desire to travel there. I have been across the entire country with the exception (I am sorry to say) of Newfoundland and Labrador. I have been to more parts of BC than many of my friends who live there. I would love to return again soon.

And yes, I do remember "Disc Drive" hosted by Eric Friesen (hope I have spelled that correctly) on CBC-2. I have one particularly nice memory of listening to his program while returning to Vancouver on the ferry from Squamish. What a gorgeous place, and such beautiful music to accompany the trip.

Actually, less going OT, than scratching at old wounds, I'm afraid. BTW, "Disc Drive" was hosted by Vancouver based Jurgen Goethe, though Eric Friesen was also an excellent broadcaster. Eric actually lives in the Kingston, Ontario area now and this coming summer will (again) be hosting a series of classical music performances at the Thousand Islands Playhouse, in Gananoque, Ontario. Now that I've taken us COMPLETELY off topic, let me just add...no, I don't believe that there is any other (full power) French language station on 1550 kHz. :)

Francesca Swann is the name.

Quick recap: I finally have Grande-Anse confirmed (AM 540 day and night, although Grand Falls-Windsor will come in at night from time to time); managed to nail down the former CHNC-AM 610 New Carlisle, QC (and sister station CHGM Gaspé on AM 1150, both of which moved to FM although remained simulcast on AM through late 2010, and I think I've gotten CHNC FM 107.1 at least a few times (and each time it would be standing on the steps of St. James' Anglican Church, which is a good spot for FM DXing on mostly sunny mornings/afternoons)); and I'm still "unofficial" on CBEF 1550 Windsor. Need another top-of-hour ET ID check in the car (best bet for me is to try as early as Sunday unless I'm in transit to or from Saturday night's hockey game).

Final note about CHNC-AM: I did remember hearing French on 610 for years so I finally got down to doing the Google run on Thursday. Sometimes a good memory helps, and in this case, it did.

One more note on FM DXing of New Brunswick-based stations: now that OZ FM is off the air here (still heard on most of the rest of the island starting at Corner Brook and going east), therein lies an opportunity (failed on Friday) to get CJXL 96.9 Moncton (plays country music), which I have picked up once before while traveling to North Sydney on a day cruise on board the former Caribou. (Same voyage, picked up CKUL 96.5 Halifax, as both were outside OZ FM's reach but also outside the strong reach of all Sydney FMs.)
