It's baaaaaack! Other commitments have prevented the Arizona TV Station Update from posting in over six months, but we're back with a lot of updates. This post is the first of four parts due to size restrictions in Radio Discussions. (Part 2) (Part 3) (Part 4)

  • KASW 61.x (27) Phoenix (Scripps Broadcasting Holdings LLC) has been granted a license to cover its NextGen (ATSC 3.0) operations.   • KSNV 3.x (22) Las Vegas NV (KUPN Licensee LLC) requested and has been granted a license to cover its new auxiliary antenna system. Technical specifications: Ch 22; TL 36° 0' 27" N, 115° 0' 27" W (Black Mtn.); ERP 57.1 kW EP DA; HAAT 370 m / 1,212 ft.
  • KVCW 33.x (29) Las Vegas NV (KUPN Licensee LLC) has been granted a license to cover its NextGen (ATSC 3.0) operations. Call Sign Changes
  • KTTU 18.x (19) Tucson (KTTU-TV Inc.) has changed its call sign to KTTU-TV.
  • KVTE-LD 35.x Tucson (Mountain Ridge Holdings Inc.) has changed its call sign to KEYI-LD.
Network Rebranding
  • NBC has rebranded the LX Home diginet to American Crimes, focused on crime-based shows. The change affects NBC Telemundo O&O channels KTAZ 39.4 (29) Phoenix, KHRR 40.3 (seen on KVOA RF23) Tucson and KBLR 39.3 (20) Las Vegas NV.
Transactions
  • K04SE-D Parker (Lowcountry 34 Media LLC) is proposed to be sold to Quad Marketing Group, along with another LPTV station, for the amount of $300,000.00. The sale is pending FCC approval.
  • K06QW-D Sentinel (Lowcountry 34 Media LLC) has been sold to Quad Marketing Group, along with five other LPTV stations, for the amount of $633,611.00. The sale was approved by the FCC and consummated.
  • 2 Bits Family Trust, which holds controlling interest of Tri-State Broadcasting LLC, licensee of KKAX-LD 36.x Kingman and K23BJ-D Lake Havasu City, has consummated its transfer of control.
  • King Kong Broadcasting Inc., licensee of KGNG-LD 26.x Las Vegas NV, requested and has been granted a transfer of control from Laurence Hunt to The Estate of Laurence Hunt following Mr. Hunt's death on May 21, 2024. The transfer of control has been consummated.
  • King Kong Broadcasting Inc., licensee of KGNG-LD 26.x Las Vegas NV, has requested a transfer of control from The Estate of Laurence Hunt to Guillermo Muhlenbrock, as per the last will and testament of Laurence Hunt, the previous owner. The transfer is pending FCC approval.

D'oh! KVTE-LD/KEYI-LD is licensed to Las Vegas NV, not Tucson.
