Artie Lange: Return To Stern Show "Would Be Greatest Thing Ever"

Artie Lange appeared on, of all places, Fox Sports Radio on Wednesday night. And, of course, he was asked about possibly returning to the Howard Stern show in the near future.

"That would be the greatest thing ever, but listen, I was on the greatest show of all time for about nine years and I put them in a very awkward situation to say the least, so what am I going to do? But I love them all and they were great to me."

Maybe for him but not for the listeners. I never thought he was funny on the show or in his stand up routine. Granted most of the time he was either lethargic or wired from going on or coming off of drugs. Maybe a sober Artie is funny, but the drugged up Artie just interupts the flow of the show trying to crowbar in his lame jokes and observations.

I think the shows have been much better without him for the last year. I know Howard is glad he's gone, you can tell he wanted him gone for a while there at the end and was hoping he would quit because he wouldn't fire him. I'm glad Artie is doing better and hopefully he can put his demans behind him for good.

Listened to Stern for a bit today while waiting for the Opie & Anthony replay to start and I don't see what's so amazing about his show now. Robin's presentation of the news is great but most of the time Stern is just ranting and name dropping. Heck, if I wanted to listen to that, I'd just download the Adam Carolla podcast! ;)

I saw Stern on Letterman the other day talking about how much of a two faced scumbag Leno was, don't really see what Leno ever did to Stern but he hates the guts out of him!
