As of Sunday afternoon, 04/03, WUML-FM 91.5 Lowell has been off-the-air for two days at least. Installing new transmitter?

Guess so; so a diff post says for now they are using an old exciter. Maybe they will return
with full signal eventually.

>>Apparently their new "transmitter" is an old exciter, so they are probably running a whole 10 watts, enough to cover their C.O.L. and not much more

they were on yesterday I air checked them for the DJ while we were on the phone.

I am pretty sure I heard them when I got in my truck this morning as I hadn't changed the station.

I was told they are using an exciter to stay on the air.

I know their coverage is next to nothing.

it was 16+ years old and had multiple issues, from what I am told it was just beyond repair.

They couldn't get it to re-fire via dial up, and eventually they couldn't force it to run even when they went to the transmitter location at Fox Hall.

Supposedly the new transmitter will arrive in 90 days, give or take.
