As of 4:00 pm Friday afternoon 11/28, WLLH-AM 1400 Lowell/Lawrence is broadcasting an unmodulated carrier.

Since I am near Providence & have never heard it, is this the most interesting format on this station in years? Seems like it would be!

Audio reappeared sometime Friday night; chances are nobody was listening at the precise time.

Something could've been intermittent...

Until maybe a few months back, WAMG/WLLH CE Chris Hall would have given us the whole story. But Chris told me that keeping up with the ESPN stations' three local Tx sites (Ashland, Lowell, and Lawrence) plus two studio sites (Charlestown and, I guess, Lowell) not to mention all of the other stations he engineers, just got to be too much, so he handed off the ESPN work to Blair Hardin. As far as I can tell, Blair does not read these lists/boards, so I guess we'll never know what the story was.
