Atlanta radio agent Norm Schrutt inducted into W. NY Broadcasters' Hall of Fame

Schrutt will be inducted into the Broadcasters’ Hall of Fame of Western New York. He will be inducted along with Wolf Biltzer of CNN. They join a distinguished list of broadcasters whose lives have deep ties to Western New York. Some of the past inductees are Foster Brooks, Buffalo Bob Smith, Bill Mazur, Tim Russert, Mark Russell and Paul Maguire.Mr. Schrutt retired in 1996 as President of ABC Radio. He had offices in New York City and in Atlanta. He relocated to Atlanta in 1981. When ABC purchased WKHX Radio he oversaw the purchase of Y106 and WPLO for ABC. He was promoted to President of ABC owned Radio Stations in 1987. His responsibilities included supervision of stations in Atlanta, Chicago, Washington, Dallas, Minneapolis as well as stations in Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Italy. He now is the President of Schrutt & Katz Inc. representing broadcast talent across the country. In Atlanta he represents: Ryan Cameron, The Two Live Stews, Christopher Rude, John Kincaid, Mara Davis, Fred Toettcher and Cindy and Ray.

You know, Norm is a great guy! I was fortunate enough to work with him on many projects and he was always a class act! I, for one, am thrilled at his nomination. He has done a lot for radio. He does love the medium. Congratulations Norm! ;D
