You've been a clubber long enough. I seriously doubt there's anyone within a 50 mile range of Hillsville, Va that knows half as much as you do about Dance - part, present, and where it's going. You're clearly passionate about the music, you listen to its in all its forms, and you've seen some of its top DJs perform.
That could be true for a lot of us here on the board, but you also seem to be able to reach out to people in rural areas and convert them to Dance music. Back in Indiana and now in Virginia. Are there any places where you can play music for local crowds?
You also worked at a successful small market radio station last year so you have that going for you. Who knows, maybe you can both turn people onto some of your favorite Dance stations, Dance songs, and make some money in the process.
First Hillsville, then Roanoke, Richmond, Greensboro, and before you know it you'll be back in Indiana as the MidwestClubDJ ;)

Anyways, just a suggestion.
 
Thanks for the kind words, but the closest place to here that has any scene at all is Charllote, and thats 100 miles away,, its not like living within 30 minutes of indianapolis and later,, Chicago... Have you ever seen that Quiznos commercial about the hillbilly hot tub,,, thats where I live... I live on a farm... I went from Cornfields in Indiana, to the concrete jungle in Chicago, down to a mountain farm. Luckily I have the internet now, but I get thrown off of it by the girls or Granny in the afternoon,, I can leave the music streams on, but I have to let them play games and get on facebook and do bills and stuff... We need a router and then a trip back to Indiana to get my computer will fix that.

but seriously, though, the dude is right - GO FOR IT!!
 
Im probably going to do some volunteer stuff for Z-102,,, a part 15 here near me with dance music,,, but a high powered pirate is really causing problems for mr barkley/// Mr Barkley will let anyone volunteer ther time,,, but a pirate that simulcasts on about every open freq drowns him out after about two blocks,,, he is trying to do it legally with low power, and the pirate doesnt respect that.... I have reported Hot Mix FM to the fcc, im thinking if they actually come here and find how many freqs he's on, and the cursing on air, I hope they throw the book at him.

Anyway, again,, thanks for the kind words, but lets not give me more credit than what I earned... This board has plenty of talented dance music folks,, we cant leave them out.... I think what I need to do is start a internet and part 15 station and leave the mixing to the pros.. I might be able to get another live 365 station,,, I helped out Mystery FM in indiana get a live 365 stream,,, I would like to get a fully licensed shoutcast WMA stream and website,, but I need people like Chrles and Tony to contribute.....
