Why are all u guys playing Mariah - Obsessed? It's on all the time. Nobody wants to hear it. I can't imagine that a single person would request it. she is washed up and the song is terrible and ignorant...quite typical of her to put out such trash. Is her label riding you guys that hard to keep her career alive? even sheep won't be convinced that it's a good song. Just be done with it.

The song is gaining more airplay and sales all over the country this week. Approaching the top 10 on the Mediabase 24/7 Mainstream Top 40 charts; 8th position on the Billboard Hot 100-- one spot below it's peak.
I don't know the specific song very well (to any stretch of the imagination), but maybe your complaint should be directed beyond just radio in Phoenix.
You'd have to be more convincing as to why the song doesn't deserve airplay in these formats.

I really don't doubt any of that. Sounds like alot of brainwashing going on. Did you know that Sam Goody bought one million copies of the Vanilla Ice CD in order to get special pricing on the new Mariah CD (what a coincidence) back in 1991? That is the reason he charted, but if there are any Sam Goody / Musicland stores left, they still have copies of that piece of work (in the original long box). I'm sure similar things still take place to create hype that isn't there.
For your information, i listen to all the stations on the dial. And I am not a fan of Gangster Rap or whatever you said. Did you not notice that none of the mentioned stations are hip hop stations? Neither is Mariah. No matter how hard her label tries to market her as such, the point is: Eminem called her out. The song is nonsense, as the only person obsessed with her is...herself. Go ahead and label me for being open minded to current music in addtion to the Doo Wop you are stuck on. I am just bothered to be force fed this song, when I want to enjoy a worthy playlist.
