I was playing around with the Audacy app this evening and I've noticed that the Audacy Original stations that recently turned off their HD streams have now also been removed from the app itself and redirects to curated stations of similar formats...i.e. KFRC now redirects to The 60s, KIFM San Diego is now Soundscapes Smooth Jazz, The Angry Playlist, which was harder edged classic rock is now Metal Mayhem, and both Classic Live 105 San Francisco and Classic Alt San Diego both redirect to Roots of Alternative. While their logos and branding still show the original stations these are now just like Pandora stations with up to 6 skips. The problem is that the skips do nothing so you are just stuck with Audacy's choice of rotation. If you leave the station and come back, it just drops you right in the same place that you were when you left. I noticed that KROQ's "Roq of the 80s" is still streaming live. I'm not sure if that's still on HD in Los Angeles or if they just haven't gotten around to butchering it off the app yet. Audacy is messing everything up pretty bad.
