Since you haven’t listened to “Sunny” Joe Allen on WGNY-FM’s “Fox Oldies”, I’m going to share this one. I have a bunch of airchecks of “Sunny” Joe when he is on “Fox Oldies”, and the first one that I’m going to present is from 5/27/23 which was during the Memorial Day weekend. But instead of playing old commercials like Hoffman’s Soda, Coppertone 10, Chicken Delight and Robert Hall Shoes which has been running non-stop since it’s annoying, I decided to ditch those annoying commercials and replace with something different like more old commercials that you don’t hear it on this station before like the US Army ad from the 1970’s and more goodies thrown in.
Trust me! I love “Sunny” Joe better than Bill Williams on WBPM, because Bill Williams sucks where he took over J.J. Carter’s spot, but after listening to “Sunny” Joe Allen, I am a big fan of “Sunny” Joe Allen, and he is my #1 midday host, and he is at the top of the list and it is going to beat Cousin Brucie over at WABC on Saturday nights, and the rest like Vinnie Medugno, Tony Orlando and Joe Piscopo.
I hope that Matt Craig, one of his contributors at Big Apple Airchecks who runs the website would love to hear it. Enjoy!
