Here is an aircheck that you have never heard of before. It’s the one and only, Caroline Barton on WGNY-FM’s “Fox Oldies” from 7/4/23. This was right after the “Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks” wrapped up on 1010 WINS at 10PM.

I have nothing else to say about it, but after listening to it for 2 hours, I absolutely hate Caroline Barton. She sounds way too boring, and she sounds absolutely terrible. This is considered as the worst DJ of all time. She was filled in for Jimmy Howes over at WALL since he took the rest of the 4th of July weekend off, except JJ Carter over at WBPM where he did filled in for Jimmy Howes for the whole week. I have airchecks of JJ Carter doing evenings where he filled in for Jimmy Howes.

And like I said, I’m not a huge fan of Caroline Barton though, because she doesn’t sound that good. So I have to give her a big thumbs down for one of the worst DJ’s ever. 👎

Let’s enjoy her show on “Fox Oldies”. What do you think? Do you like her, or hate her? If you don’t like her, avoid her show at all costs.

I hope this message gets posted. It’s in response to that mean-spirited review of Caroline Barden on WGNY. The review seems pathetic, and also somehow personal. Maybe Ms. Barden took the place of your boyfriend, or something equally self interested. I don’t know but, I strongly disagree with that person.
Personally, I love Caroline Barden’s voice, and her exceptionally affectionate and friendly way of hosting her show. She is truly good company when I’m listening to her and the songs she plays. I don’t know if she picks her own songs, but it seems like she does, and she gives interesting info. and often a memory or feeling about that song in her life. She plays so many of my favorite songs, one after another, for example right now, “Up on the Roof”. She also plays the entire range of rock and pop and soul that I love so much.
Seriously, there may be something wrong with the person who left such a nasty comment about this excellent radio host! She is the best DJ I can recall, across many years of loving radio, as far as making listening fun. I like some other DJs on other radio stations, but she feels unique to me.
Thank you, WGNY and Caroline Barden for the range of songs you play, and for your good company in a world that is sometimes too stressful and mean. Laurel L.
 
I always find it amusing when someone like MTN productions hates a radio person, yet records her show, puts it on a forum like this giving the hated personality additional exposure. He even knows the other places she fills in and when. Form past posts I know he is in love with GNY, but I wonder why he hates Caroline so much. Form his stalking her up and down the dial we know he understands how to tune to other stations. One must wonder why he doesn't fine another station, perhaps a relevant one, when the offending personality is causing him pain. I'd like to meet this guy someday in a bookstore in the psychology section. It would be fun to look up some of those curious issues.
