Tonight, the AM was quite wild. Alberta/Sask./Manitoba stations were in on top of several frequencies, bringing three new logs to my logbook!
The first log happened right before all the wildness of Canadians.
1570: KCVR Lodi, CA: I had this log as a tentative for months, and now I got a full ID! At 9:00PM, the top of the hour, I heard "KCVR Lodi" voiced by a SS female, then into Spanish adult hits. Distance is 670 miles, new log #357.
The second and third logs were Canadians, and happened while the AM band was full of Alberta/Sask.
1290: CFRW Winnipeg, MB: Webstream match on this one. I heard "The Closer I Get To You" Roberta Flack, which matched the webstream! Finally got this "stumper" station after several times hearing unID oldies on the frequency. Distance is 1137 miles, and is new log #358 for AM.
1020: CKVH High Prairie, AB: Strong signal w/ Focus on The Family Canada Edition, hot AC format, matched webstream later.
Distance is 583 miles on this one, is new log #359, and only 1kw!
I also noticed a BUNCH of relogs and some tentatives that I couldn't ID. An unID country was noticed under KVI on 570, either CKWL Williams Lake or CKSW Swift Current, 1190 CFSL Weyburn right OVER the top of KEX at times (!!!), 1140 CHRB very strong, rare 1050 CJNB-SK, 1310 CHLW St. Paul AB on top of the channel, and a French on 860 that was very likely "wanted" station CBKF-2 Saskatoon, SK but no ID.
All in all, an awesome night for summer!
