Baltimore Club Music, Electro Hip-Hop, House, Urban Dance

I'm wondering which stations play these songs / artists in their mix shows:

Dj Class - I'm the ish
Clinton Sparks ft Jermaine Dupri - Favorite DJ
Fareast Movement - Like A G6
LMFAO ft Lil Jon - Shots
Birdman - written on her
Dj Mad - Put your drinks up
Chelley - took the night
Pitbull - Hotel room service

and other similar urban dance, electro hip-hop, bmore, and other uptempo remixes of urban & pop hits? I'm also wondering which stations play the remix of Ciara's "ride" featuring Andree 3000 and Bei Maejor?

Here in ATL, Radio One's Urban AC MAJIC 107.5/97.5 plays baltimore club music during it's Friday night live broadcast with DJ King Arthur. He's also on Music Choice on cable tv and spins B'more music on there too. I've streamed Radio One's Q92 outta Baltimore on weekends and heard B'more club music during there club broadcast too.

I believe I heard Groove 105.7 / 96.7 has a live broadcast from the club starting this Friday, so I'll see how that goes. I also heard that Andre Perry was on The groove at one point this past week. Not sure if this means he left Q100. I'm thinking the former Beat DJ's should mix on The Groove. Hopefully The groove can finish out their transition towards the pure rhythmic format, drop the frequent recurrents, and fill in more current material, going a tad more urban sounding with more current pop hits.

The Beat didn't have any decent mixers at all! DJ Kidd and Johnny D were horrible. (sorry Mami Chula, u were better on HOT 107.9)

The last time I heard Baltimore Club music we pulled the plug in favor of Game 1 of the 1983 World Series. It was break dancing to Michael Jackson back then. Baltimore won the series that year.

Were those the club broadcast dj's?

DJ Kidd at one time was the only DJ you'd ever hear mixing on 95.5. They only had club broadcast mixshows on Thurs, Fri and Sat. Johhny D started mixing some of those too. They sounded like recorded blends and remixes of some songs..

A lot of those remixes were from Dj Promo Remix Services... But Groove did have a live broadcast last night from a club (instead of the previous on point, but boring mix they had before) and from what they played, it seems like they are headed strictly into a rhythmic direction. They will be the station to most likely deliver this Electro-Hip Hop sound to Atl. mainly in mixshow play, since it is mainly mixshow only style music.

From past experience, I must say every single time a station has done the type of sound Groove did last night and did it live from a club, within weeks or a month or two, they became a full blown rhythmic. Also add in the fact that the new MD has a strong rhythmic / party station style history.

Groove sounds very soft and somewhat musically uneven right now, but seems to be headed the right way. Quite a bit is still missing from their main playlist though. They removed songs, but now need to add in a few more current hits.

Also, I don't know much about how stations and clubs interact and who makes the rules when it comes to live broadcasts over the airwaves, but something that worried me a little is that last nights live broadcast was done EXACTLY how it would've sounded in the west coast! I'm sure that probably doesn't fly well with ATL or east coast clubbers! When 95.5 The Beat did their club broadcasts, they sounded like they were in tune with their regional sound. Well, I guess I can only trust that they know what they are doing. The club music was rhythmic but.. something doesn't sound right with the whole "west coast sound in the south east". I'm just wishing the best for The Groove in the long term.

Im not so sure if GROOVE is "ACTUALLY" playing music live in the clubs on Fridays and Saturdays. I wanna say its more like a brodacsting live call-ins. The live club broadcast on HOT, MAJIC and V is all the way live. You can actually hear the crowd and every now and then the on-air dj calls someone to the vip or dj booth. Not so sure about Q and GROOVE though.

Yes, you could also hear the crowd and echo on Groove, but someone told me stations are not too keen on broadcasting live from clubs that tend to play stuff off of their playlist... at least here in Az.  Not exactly sure how strict it is over there, but I noticed that here in Az, many times they'd play the off stuff during the commercials if it was a live broadcast. It's always one of the station's own dj's dj'ing the the broadcast, and you can hear the off playlist stuff start fading in the mix right before commercials then the dj blending out of it when they return on air.

By the way, the mixing wasn't the best, but the music played during the broadcast was a good start.
