Bart Simpson Will Die Next Season on ‘The Simpsons’

Bart Simpson is going to die. Temporarily, at least.

After more than two decades of scheming to kill Bart Simpson, arch nemesis Sideshow Bob — a character voiced by Kelsey Grammer — will finally succeed during this fall’s Treehouse of Horror, the annual Halloween episode of “The Simpsons.”

Bart will be revived after the Halloween episode, which traditionally has a different format and takes place outside of the series’ continuity.

When I was a kid, I'd watch Casper who never had friends, but then at the end of the cartoon he'd have friends, but in the next cartoon he was back to being friendless. I always thought somehow Casper what the real problem. )

How could you not be friends with Casper? He always says hello, and he's really glad to meet you. Wherever he may go, he's kind to every living creature.

I actually appreciated Brian getting run over and mangled by that speeding car. It got people talking about the show again, which had found itself declining in popularity and direction over the years.
