Battle Creek’s WOLY (1500) kept filing its FCC paperwork late and must sign off

I just read the cease-and-desist letter from the FCC to CFN. It's kind of interesting, actually.

CFN never responded during the time to do so, but filed paperwork this year..In essence they have
operated a pirate station for several years.

Well, I agree with the FCC in this particular case. It's time to turn the station off for good.

Re: Battle Creek’s WOLY (1500) kept filing its FCC paperwork late and must sign

I see under Breaking News on Radio-Info.com writing about it today...Today is May 28, I posted something in February on this...

Do these people at WOLY have RoCks iN tHeiR BrAiNs???

What a bunch of morons. I don't always side with the FCC, but when something is this egregious, they got what they deserved. No appeals, no nothing. Stay off the air!

Has WOLY signed off the air yet? Or are they still in denial?

Is anyone reading this in range on their signal? If so, is DWOLY still on the air?

Are they STILL defiant of the FCC's order? If so, how long will it before the FCC orders the Feds to take the station permanently off the air by force?

Anyone? Anyone? Anyone? Buehler? Buehler? Buehler?

I hear from a reliable source that they are still broadcasting on 1500. How muck longer will it be before the FCC is forced to close the station down by force?
Also, why is the FCC taking their sweet little time in doing so? Unlicensed pirate AM/FM stations are usualy closed down in a matter of days and weeks,
NOT years.

Re: Battle Creek’s WOLY (1500) kept filing its FCC paperwork late and must sign

There was some speculation that the Commission is nervous about taking down a religious station. They did not want it to look like the gov't is silencing Christians.
They showed up, ordered WOLY off, and the station staff said NO.
I cannot imagine this....

When did the FCC show up to tell them to shut down? Is WOLY still on the air?

My friends in the area report that the station is still off the air.
