I sure wish I could go. Just to get on the Sturgeon would be worth it.

I'm working on some projects with the associated museum, and would love to be there.

I'll take some pictures and shoot some video, David. Wish you could be there too.

It's been 42 years since the one and only time I've seen the Sturgeon. Watched Jackson Armstrong do his show at the Fort Mason Christmas Fair in late 1982.

I wish I'd said hello and asked to come aboard, but I had moved on to TV and still thought of KFRC as kind of like the Lost Ark---the unworthy are blinded (or melted or whatever happened to that Nazi guy in Raiders of the Lost Ark). Silly, but true. Same reason I never called up and asked for a tour when I was programming KUKI in '76 and '77.

I'm way less shy now.

It's stored here in Sacramento when not making appearances, but every time it's been brought out, I've been away. Happy to have this chance.

Really wish I could be there, fellas (and fellettes). I teach the licensing class at Pacificon every year, and it's on the 19th.

Lifetime CHRS member, and still working in radio. All the best to you!

It just occurred to me that you said you'd post them on Facebook...could you post them here instead? I'm guessing most of us aren't Facebook friends.

Not only do I fall into that category, the signature on my personal e-mail account directs anyone who wants to know more about me to my home page at Neocities, with the notation "I do not do Facebook".

I also do not have accounts at TikTok, Instagram, Twitter/X, or any other social media. I find those to be a distraction, and my friends know how to text me at my cell number if they need to.

Some of us don't even have Facebook accounts. (Very intentionally.)

(I should have read K.M.'s reply before typing this in, though it seems his philosophic differences with Mr. Zuckerberg's baby may be different than mine.)

I did have a Facebook account at one point, but unsubscribed from it (yes, that is actually possible!) well over a decade ago. I found it, as I said before, to be a distraction, as I did Twitter (although I did keep that account until Mush* bought it and then cancelled it). During the last sveral years on Twitter, I didn't even have it autostart on my phone, and logged into it only when I needed to contact someone whose e-mail address was not readily available. No loss.

(* - That is not a typo, but rather my assessment of Elon's alleged mind, a la John Houseman's character Professor Kingsfield in The Paper Chase; the difference is that I don't think Elon's can be made to operate normally.)

I vowed to never have a Twitter account, and sure enough, I never will because technically Twitter no longer exists (X is for all intents and purposes the same, but with a new name and most of the guardrails removed mercilessly).

I won't do Facebook either, although I had been forced to have an account for getting fire information during the many major NorCal firestorms in 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019. I never used it for anything else, and I was very happy to abandon it altogether (PSA: this app called Watch Duty was built to provide a one stop shop for all fire info in one convenient place, without the hassle of dealing with FB and X misinfo).
