I am absolutely hooked on this station! It's a "we play what we want format" that covers the 80's through today. Rock centered. The mix is superior to what 107.3 is playing. It's a pity it can only be picked up in the southern part of Duval.
The recent playlist for Beach 105.5 looks like a conservative version of WWAV 102.1 in Destin (Wave 102 usually reaches Pensacola... dependent on Gulf tropo).
I was affiliated with the station as WYRE-FM, I contacted the antenna manufacturer. It is a DA. I got the pattern from the company and the vertical (think car radio) pattern has an extremely deep null to the North. Far less signal than the maximum allowed. Could have been a player in Duval with the pattern corrected.

If it wasn't for 105.3 in Fernandina Beach. I wish they'd move that frequency somewhere else and let 105.5 boom in to Duval. You're right, it would do very well here.
