Beck moves his show to Dallas after this week. I wonder if the show changes.

You'd think it would. No more crazy New York things to complain about.

But, sometimes too much control can lead to bad things.

Although I am a P1 talk listener, I have never listened to Beck's program. That being said, his move away from the oppressive business climate and union-member broadcast staff in New York, not to mention the winters there, makes a lot of sense.

What I like about Beck is that he was on the ball enough to see the future in internet TV with his GBTV. Guy is 5-10 years ahead of things.

Just think about it no old school distribution to pay for, no affiliates to appease and no networks to tell you what to do.

But is anyone watching?

It would be interesting to know how many subscribers there actually are, but I know that number will never be let out.

I agree...love him or hate him (and I think there are really only two camps...very few middle of the road people with Beck) he is breaking the mold and testing the strength of his brand. If Beck doesn't succeed with this look for others to learn from his mistake and for this to be a very crowded pool to be swimming in five years from now.

I just checked my iPhone, there's an app for Glenn. :D ;)

Not a fan of Beck either but I do agree this is the future. I watch very little on tv any more. 90% of my programs are viewable online when I want to watch them. I don't have to pay for a dvr box either, lol. Didn't Limbaugh kind of start this though? He has had a subscription service for a few years now that lets you view him in his studio but not having seen Beck's program I can't say how different it is? Even Alex Jones (yeah, a lot of people think he is nuts) has the same kind of thing where you can watch live online with a subscription.

Rush's in studio camera was part of his subscription service that most hosts have...gives you commercial free show, access to other host driven trite things as well. There was really no production on Rush's video feed...pretty standard web cam type stuff. Beck took it up several notches and produced a fairly visually stimulating product. Compete with unique content to cover the breaks etc.

I still think that this might be a case of the second person in on this wins...people will see the mistakes that Beck makes and learn from that. Will be very interesting to see if he is able to keep the subscribers long term.

I haven't watched it, but I'm sure he puts out a new show every day. if someone comes up with improvements it shouldn't be too hard to adjust.
