Beginning to miss the "old KMXP 96.9" a little

Is this the sign that I'm... not getting any younger? I've noticed that KMXP has phased out some of it's older material and seems to have more up to date stuff in heavier rotation, including B.O.B. "airplanes" and Mike Posner "Cooler than me". What is funny is that they DON'T have "California Gurls" by Katy Perry in rotation, or if they do, nothing is showing it and I'm not hearing it. Even Atlanta's wanna be A.C. station (or shall I say wanna be chr?) isn't playing B.O.B. "airplanes" (but they have "California Gurls" in rotation).

The signs of me not getting any younger... are present, especially when UB40, Ace of Base, and other similar things seem to just vanish off of the KMXP most played list. Oh boy... what's worse is that The Pulse on Sirius XM dropped (most of) their 90's and is now predominantly 00's through today. I'm not saying KMXP is bad, but I am saying I think Sirius XM The Pulse is worse now than it was before. I'm beginning to miss the "old KMXP 96.9" a little (ahhh... ahh.. ah hah!! There it is- I said it! Just like in a movie when they always conveniently slip the title into the script!! ;D) and many of those great 90's pop hits that KPKX and even KESZ still plays on a regular basis. From 2000-2010 (or more specifically, 1997-2010), I was not heavily into the pop rock or rock oriented sound as much as I was in the 90's so this decade of AC music will really alienate me, while a Rhythmic AC or Generation X sound would be "right up my alley".

OH... NEVER MIND!! They are playing Katy Perry's "California Gurls" right now! Ah hah, see? I knew I didn't stay up until 1:46 AM for nothing! Actually, I see it IS in their most played!!! How did I miss that?

Since I am in my mid thirities now and graduated highschool in 1992, I would totally be open to having a generation X station on the air. I really do miss the hits from the early 90's... maybe there is room for one of our stations to flip. Oh I got it,, there is already X103.9 so they got the name now just change the format LOL

I'm thinking 100.3 could've easily been it. 95.1 could've just tweaked a little to cover what 100.3 is doing. I'm also thinking 97.5 would've been more appropriate as well.
