Behold! NBCUniversal's New Logo (And Yes, The Company's Name Is Now One Word.)

Wow,

a book,
a Universal family pass,
and 25 free shares of a stock I would NEVER buy.

UGH

I've never understood why mergers/buyouts give the remaining TIICs reasons to go and mess stuff up instead of MAYBE, leaving well enough alone (for the most part), especially logos.

Steve Burke: "Synergy is not a bad word."

Yeah, right.

Bring back the peacock and the snake from the 60's!

Hey, I'll even settle for the "N" from '75! :D

from what ive seen the "NBC UNIVERSAL TELEVISION DISTRIBUTION " is now folded into UNIVERSAL MEDIA SERVICES and will still say A unit of NBCUniversal

Where are my Universal rings of Saturn?
Better yet - WHERE IS THE PEACOCK

Cheers :D

Hopefully the point has been made that the new logo (good or bad) is the logo for the corporation, NOT the subsidiary NBC network, which would be stupid to get rid of the iconic peacock.

As coverage makes clear, the peacock is staying put in the consumer branding.

Can't forget Golf Channel or Versus. Wouldn't be surprised NBC Sports airs more golf or Golf Channel shows older golf matches that were shown on NBC Sporrts. As for Versus we can hope NBC does something to that network instead of Rocky movies over and over.

Wow. I see elsewhere where they ARE doing away with the logo.
Like I said, that's crazy.
Kind of Kabletown-ish.
On "30 Rock" last week they showed "GE" being taken down and a K with a circle being put up on top of 30 Rock.
